Hello, I have problem with the war thunder's launcher(not only me).I download the launcher and I install it without problem. When I run the launcher and the update begins then ,immediately the pc has BSOD and says: IRQL not less or equal.
This issue is caused by corrupted game client files. To solve the issue you need to delete local settings folders. By default, they can be found here: C:\Program files (x86)\War Thunder\Cache; and for Steam version: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\War Thunder\Cache Also, please try to use "Check Files" option in the game launcher. I tried installing the game from the website directly but it said it could not do it due to issues with permissions? I am the admin of the PC so that is a false positive. War Thunder. Try to restore it if it's in there, and set it as an exception, or try temporarily disabling Avast for 10 mins while you open the game.

AFAIK, the War Thunder launcher also installs a service that will download patches/etc. in the background even if you don't have the game running. Check for a War Thunder symbol in the bottom right corner of your taskbar near the clock, and turn it off before uninstalling. Edit: you can also turn it off in the launcher settings. War Thunder looks fantastic with the new graphics engine, but the frame rates are suffering terrible. War Thunder is very popular with 30k -50k online playing at any given time in 1000 - 1800 battles taking place. There are a lot of AMD Xfire users waiting. Thank you Bob P.S. When the 1.47.8.51 update came out (13/03/15) my game launcher refused to download the 'update info', even after leaving it on to download for hours. After verifying the game files in Steam and trying to re-install the launcher both from Steam and the War Thunder website, the problem persisted. Whenever i try to start War Thunder, the launcher freezes stays like that for a while. Then after about 30 seconds a window pops up saying "War Thunder launger has stopped working" and all i can do is close the window and the launcher. There is no uninstall file in the folder, nor there is any indication that I can cleanly uninstall the game. War Thunder consists of just the launcher. So you need to delete the folder manually, and that will be that. so it may be well worth having a look into your Steam game folders to see if there is still a ..\War Thunder\ folder
